Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure on removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and tightening the abdominal muscles. This is usually done in cases of excessive deposits of fat in the abdomen, stretching the skin after pregnancy or significant weight loss, presence of scars in the lower abdomen after a prior operation. The shape of the entire body is improved by removing skin and fat, "flashing" (excess skin and fat in the abdomen), and the restoration of a more slender shape of the contour. This operation is not intended neither reduce weight nor to treat obesity.

The consequences of pregnancy or obesity are often not only the problem of hyperextension of the skin, but also the weakening of the muscular abdominal wall tension due to the white line the stomach. Therefore, in addition to skin tightening, tummy tuck, if necessary may include strengthening the muscles of the anterior abdominal wall, the removal of herniated abdominal white line, as well as liposuction, performed directly during surgery. Most tummy tuck is performed with the transfer of the navel. Often it is combined with such an operation as a breast lift.

Abdominoplasty is not justified for common diseases: diabetes, heart disease, etc. Also, such an operation is contraindicated in case of the presence of the anterior abdominal wall above the navel scars. Because of the high risk of complications, tummy tuck is not desirable for the thickness of the layer of fat over the anterior abdominal wall. Finally, the procedure is inappropriate, if you plan to change the weight, or if the possibility of pregnancy is assumed.

Abdominoplasty is a serious surgical procedure, fraught with the development of postoperative complications, so the operation must be carried out by highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in conducting of such operations.

Highest qualification and vast experience of our cosmetic surgery guarantee the best results.
