Otoplasty

Otoplasty - it is a great branch of plastic surgery, which includes the operation to correct the shape of the ears. Aesthetic otoplasty resolves the problem of droopy ears; adjust the shape of the ear lobe and the size of the ear. The indications for surgery in the plastic ears are: the presence of gross deformities, asymmetry, excessive spreading of ears, and consequences of injury.

Otoplasty surgery is to create the correct position of the cartilage and stable fixation of the ear in this position. In addition, excess skin, which remains at the back of the ear, is also removed. The incision is also made from behind, due to this the scar after the operation is negligible. In cases when the auricle is damaged, a plastic surgeon can correct the problem area, if the damage is severe, it can be done by the formation of the missing tissue.

For a successful otoplasty surgery and achievement a good result one must clearly understand the desire of the client, how he wants to change the shape and have his ears pressed to his head. Usually, with a strongly visible droopy ears is easier to work, but for decreasing distance from the head to the ear of a few millimeters, an inexperienced specialist may have some difficulties. It is necessary to apply to a plastic surgeon who has extensive experience, impeccable technique and knowing much about the techniques.
